MUSIC: Upojenie, Pat Metheny and Anna Maria Jopek

Upojenie (Exctasy)

The voice

Celestial, soft. It’s new and surprising to appreciate a voice for its qualities since you cannot understand what it is saying. It’s like another instrument.

In some cases tends to be mournfully, whining.

Track listing:

Cichy Zapada Zmrok (Here Comes the Silent Dusk)
Mania Mienia (So It May Secretly Begin)
Biel (Whiteness)

Przyplyw, Odplyw, Oddech Czasu… (Tell Her You Saw Me)

Celestial voice, piano as it was raining, slow but sustained percussions.

Are You Going with Me?

Less moody. More dance. Synthesized sax / trumpet?

Czarne Slowa (Black Words)

Synthesized flute is ruining the atmosphere.

(-) Lulajze Jezuniu (Polish Christmas Carol)

Ninna nanna. A bit sleepy.

Upojenie (Ecstasy)

Is the trumpet real? It seems so. I can tell the difference.

Zupelnie Inna Ja (Always and Forever)

Piosenka Dla Stasia (A Song for Stas)

Letter from Home

Me Jedyne Niebo (Another Life)

By On Byl Tu (Farmer’s Trust)

Polskie Drogi (Polish Paths)

Tam, Gdzie Niesiega Wzrok (Follow Me)

Na Calej Polaci Snieg (The Snow Falls All Over the Place)

Szepty I Lzy (Whispers and Tears)

Review

I like the first track, very ambient, creates a relaxing and dreamlike sound environment.

I don’t like synthesized sounds which sound synthetic. Even lesser when they are suppose to mimic a real instrument like the case of the trumpet.
