This site is a source for information regarding the work of film director/producer Stanley Kubrick. The site leaves the interpretation of his films to the viewer and serves mainly images and sounds from Kubrick’s films.
The website “Stanley Kubrick 1928-1999″ closed on September 4 1999. Its archive is now hosted there, so that this valuable resource is not lost to the Internet. Those familiar with the original site will find most of the images and text reproduced.
This site showcases the printed program for Stanley Kubrick’s film, 2001: A Space Odyssey. The program was available in UK cinemas, accompanying the first release of 2001, circa 1968.
Stanley Kubrick is usually described as one of the most innovative and brilliant film directors of the 20th Century, but also as a legendary recluse and a difficult tyrant who demanded endless takes from his actors. So what kind of a man was he really? And why are his films so highly regarded? The Kubrick FAQ aims to answer the latter questions and debunk some of the stupid myths associated with the first. It is made up of postings from the alt.movies.kubrick newsgroup, as it was from 1996 to 2001. There are no later posting because after 2001 the group went into a period of decline from which it is unfortunately yet to emerge.

Channel 4 has painstakingly recreated the set of Stanley Kubrick horror film The Shining, complete with look-a-likes of the crew and cast members including Shelley Duvall, for a TV ad to promote a More 4 season of the director’s films.
